            Hackers from Russia unleash cyberattacks on government                                              and aid facilities 

     

             Russian hackers attack government/aid facilities spanning 24 countries and 150 organizations. These hackers have stolen sensitive data and information from email accounts. They would send out emails and links within the emails that looked very much real, but in reality, was a scam. Those people who clicked on the email link were attacked by a malicious file that steals data. 

             

         It was figured out that this group of Russian hackers were the same hackers who carried out the SolarWind attacks. So far Russian government has denied any involvement in both attacks. 

        

      Many of the cyberattacks that involved Microsoft customers were successfully blocked as Microsoft claims.
